LOA = length overall includes all appendages fore and aft.

If you are a yacht with a LOA over 12.2m

You may need to remove the forestay or enter stern first if there are no protrusions above 5.7m from the ground. in some circumstances, the backstay may need to be removed. This must be done prior to arriving for your haul out.

Third Party Insurance is the minimum required for all boats visiting the marina with a minimum of NZD$5,000,000 third party public liability insurance. You will need to provide a current certificate of insurance when you check into the Marina office or when confirming your berthing arrangements.

PLEASE NOTE - It is important to mark the fore and aft positions for the slings to lift the boat.

Acknowledgement

  • Navigation of the vessel remains at all time the sole responsibility of the skipper and the skipper is responsible for determining the lifting positions

  • For all sailing vessels with a LOA exceeding 40ft or vessels with a bowsprit, the forestay will need to be removed. A stern entry may be considered please discuss with the boatyard office.

  • Drop Sheets are required for all sanding, scraping and painting activities

  • NO GRINDING, WELDING, SAND BLASTING or WATER BLASTING - Requires management approval and by approved contractors only.

  • Wet sanding is not allowed. Dry sanding is permitted only when using approved sanding equipment with a vacuum attachment.

  • Working at height - Ladders are not to be used as a work platform. All scaffolding used in the boatyard must be well maintained and meet NZ regulations

  • Ladders - Only approved ladders to be used and secured to the boat at the top by boatyard staff.

  • Cradles and Props must not be tampered with. Only boatyard staff are authorised to move them

  • HOT WORKS (grinding, welding etc.), CRANE/HI-AB operations, Spray Painting and sand blasting are notifiable activities and are subject to permit approval by management prior to commencing work
